As the founder of RAYNĒ Academy, Morgan Groothand, DNP, FNP-C has personally trained and mentored numerous medical professionals across the Southeast, shaping the future of aesthetic medicine. Her expertise has also made her a sought-after national speaker and trainer for Allergan Aesthetics. A respected influencer in the field, Morgan Groothand, DNP, FNP-C is an active member of the American Medical Spa Association (AMSPA).

Since 2013, she has been passionate about CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting, embracing an active lifestyle as an avid health enthusiast. Her strong faith in Christ is the cornerstone of her life, and she cherishes the time spent with her family and friends. A devoted animal lover, Morgan Groothand, DNP, FNP-C enjoys the unique hobby of showing her two cats in competitions. When she’s not working or training, you can find her outdoors, making the most of weekends with her family on their pontoon boat, enjoying the simple pleasures of fishing, water sports and nature.

After moving to Augusta in 2020, she quickly immersed herself in nursing, gaining invaluable experience across cardiac care, the burn ICU, and as a travel nurse. Her time in the burn ICU, where she witnessed the resilience of patients, ignited her passion for helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. This experience motivated her to pursue a full-time career in aesthetic medicine, where she could combine her clinical expertise with her artistic eye.
Ashley brings a compassionate approach to aesthetic care. She understands that true beauty comes from confidence and self-assurance. She is dedicated to creating personalized treatment plans that enhance your natural features and empower you to feel your best every day.
Ashley enjoys embracing the Georgia sunshine outside the clinic, doing projects around her house, staying active through her workouts, and spending time with her husband and their two mini goldendoodles. The pups love to take a trip to the beach for the weekend.

Dr. James Sherman has over 30 years of experience as a board-certified surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was born and raised in Augusta and attended Richmond Academy. He completed medical school and surgical training at the Medical College of Georgia. He has practiced surgery in his hometown for over 30 years. Dr. Sherman is an admitted “gadget guy,” which has fueled his dedication to laser aesthetics and anti-aging. He enjoys exploring advanced technologies and integrating advanced systems into his practice. Dr. Sherman is dedicated to helping patients achieve their best appearance and feel confident at any stage of life.
Erin is our RN Nurse injector. She has been with us for 12 years. Erin loves her patients and makes them comfortable sitting in her chair. She is married with two sons. You can always find her traveling and down for any travel adventures in her spare time.
Christina has been our Certified Medical Assistant for the past 12 years. Wife and Mother of two, a 10-year-old and 4-year-old. Her hobbies outside of work include fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
Rain is our ACLP/LME, a trusted medical Aesthetician and skincare expert with over 12 years of facial rejuvenation and corrective treatment experience. She specializes in advanced esthetic treatments, anti-aging treatments, corrective chemical peels, and various current laser treatments. Rain devotes time to getting to know her clients and their backgrounds, lifestyles, likes, and dislikes to find the most effective treatments and technologies available to ensure the best possible results for her patients. Her love for all things beauty and sciences allows her to provide the best, honest, and long-term results to give and restore her patient’s confidence. Rain is an Augusta native who resides in North Augusta with her husband Derrick of 10 years. She has two beautiful children and lots of fur babies. You can find her traveling with her daughter for horseback riding, a dance, and spending time with her family when she is not at work.
Stephanie is our Med Spa Patient Coordinator. She has been with us for over 9 years now. She is from Columbus, Georgia, moving to Aiken, SC, when she was 18, where she met her husband of 12 years, Derek. She is a devoted mom to two wonderful kids, Dawson, 11, and Sawyer, 5. When she is not at work, you can find her shopping, traveling for her son’s fencing, or spending time with family.
